No grants, no headlines โ just consistent, hands-on work to protect the mountains, rivers, forests, and communities of the Himalayan region.
From seedling to summit, our work spans every layer of the Himalayan ecosystem.
We organise large-scale plantation drives every season in collaboration with local panchayats and forest departments. Native species โ Oak, Rhododendron, Deodar, Banj โ are planted in areas affected by deforestation, landslides, and forest fires. Each drive involves the local community not as workers-for-hire but as decision-makers and lifelong guardians of what grows.
Our goal is not just to plant trees but to restore ecological corridors and replenish the green cover that regulates water springs, prevents soil erosion, and sustains the mountain climate.
Uttarakhand & Himachal PradeshSacred rivers carry more than water โ they carry the identity of these mountains. Trekking routes and pilgrimage paths, visited by millions each year, accumulate waste that slowly destroys the ecosystems around them. Our seasonal cleanup drives cover major trails before and after peak season.
We work with porters, guides, and local shopkeepers to build long-term waste management habits, not just one-day photo events. The metric we care about is not how much we collected, but how much less there is next year.
Pre & Post Season DrivesConservation without the community is just management. The people of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh โ shepherds, farmers, artisans, teachers โ are the original guardians of these ecosystems. When they thrive, the mountains thrive.
We support traditional livelihoods, facilitate market access for local produce and crafts, run awareness workshops in mountain schools, and ensure that any conservation effort we undertake puts local people at its centre.
Year Round ยท Multiple DistrictsThe Himalayas are home to snow leopards, Himalayan brown bears, musk deer, and thousands of plant species found nowhere else. The pressures of tourism, infrastructure, and climate change are compressing habitats at an alarming rate.
We document wildlife corridors, report illegal activity to forest departments, campaign against unregulated tourism in sensitive zones, and work with researchers to raise awareness about species under threat. The mountains don't have a voice โ we try to be one.
Monitoring & AdvocacySix years of consistent, ground-level work across the Himalayan region.
Our biggest plantation drive yet. 800+ native saplings planted across degraded ridgelines above Dharchula in collaboration with the local panchayat and 60 volunteers.
After the 2024 yatra season, our team spent 5 days on the Adi Kailash route collecting and properly disposing of 400+ kg of waste left by pilgrims and trekkers.
Partnered with 22 women artisans in Darma Valley to create market access for traditional Bhotiya weavings, supporting livelihoods and keeping cultural crafts alive.
Collaborated with wildlife researchers to document and map potential snow leopard corridors in the Pithoragarh region threatened by road construction.
A three-day cleanup campaign along the Kali river banks across Pithoragarh, Champawat and Almora districts. 200+ volunteers, 280 kg of waste collected.
The early years that built the foundation โ regular trail cleanups, annual plantation drives, and building relationships with mountain communities that last to this day.
Anyone who cares about the Himalayas has a place in what we do.
Register for an upcoming plantation drive or cleanup. We organise events across Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh throughout the year โ all skill levels welcome.
